Custom dress design is collaborative. You come with an occasion, a feeling, and sometimes an inspiration photo. We come with decades of sewing, a studio full of fabric options, and good questions. Together we land on a design drafted from your measurements and built specifically for your body and your preferences.
The first consultation is free. From there, we move through design, fabric sourcing, muslin, and two fittings before you take home a finished dress.

How It Works

Free Consultation
Studio or video. We talk about the occasion, the inspiration, fabric preferences, and budget. Bring images or fabric if you have them.

Design & Quote
We take measurements, confirm design direction, and send a written quote covering the full project.
- Step 3
Muslin & First Fitting
For structured dresses, we build a muslin test garment to check shape and fit before cutting the real fabric.
- Step 4
Final Fitting & Delivery
Final fitting for adjustments and finishing. You leave with the finished dress, steamed and ready.

Fabric is priced separately and typically ranges from 25 to 180 euros per meter. Imported silk, lace, and beaded fabrics quoted per project. First consultation is free.
Turnaround
- Six to eight weeks for most custom dresses.
- Ten weeks for complex structured or beaded dresses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know what I want before booking a consultation?
No. Many clients come in with a feeling or an occasion rather than a complete design. We design collaboratively and will help narrow down fabric, silhouette, and detail direction through questions and sketches.
Can I bring my own fabric for a custom dress?
Yes. We will review the fabric to confirm it suits the design and tell you honestly if something will not work. We are equally happy to source fabric together from our suppliers.
How many fittings does a custom dress need?
Most custom dresses need two fittings plus a muslin fitting for structured designs. Simple shift dresses may need only one fitting plus delivery. Complex formal gowns sometimes need three.
Is custom cheaper than a designer dress?
Custom is usually comparable in price to a mid-range designer ready-to-wear dress. The difference is that the fit and design are yours, and the dress will fit for decades of wearing. For high-end designer comparison, custom is typically less expensive.
