At Double Stitch by Sumu, we specialize in coordinating bridesmaid alterations across full parties so every bridesmaid is comfortable, mobile, and photographs well on the day.

We schedule fittings back-to-back for the group, keep notes by dress, and deliver the finished dresses one to two weeks before the wedding so there is time for last-minute adjustments.

Step 1

Group Booking

Schedule the full party back-to-back at our Liisankatu studio. One contact person per group works best.
Step 2

Individual Fitting

Each bridesmaid is fitted in person with their shoes. We pin, mark, and photograph each dress for studio reference.
Step 3

Alteration in Studio

We sew each dress with notes by person, keeping the group coordinated in length and silhouette.
Step 4

Final Pickup

Final fittings scheduled individually. Dresses ready one to two weeks before the wedding.

Typical range: 90 to 180 euros per dress

Each bridesmaid is quoted after her individual fitting. Group-wide estimates possible over email for planning.

Four to six weeks recommended for parties of three or more.

What if our wedding is in two weeks?

Call us. Two-week turnarounds are possible for simple alterations (length, seam adjustments) when our schedule allows. Complex work (strapless support, bodice reshaping) needs more time.

Do you also alter the bride's mother's or mother-in-law's dress?

Yes. We commonly alter mothers' dresses alongside the bridesmaid party so everyone is fitted well ahead of the wedding.
